How to Manage Zoom JWT (Legacy) in BuddyBoss

Introduction

Zoom is deprecating JWT apps in favor of OAuth. After June 1, 2023, you can no longer create new JWT apps; existing JWT apps remain functional until September 1, 2023. BuddyBoss customers who have already configured JWT will see no interruption until then. This guide shows you where to verify your JWT setup and spot the deprecation notice in your site’s Zoom integration.

Verify Your JWT Configuration

1. In your WordPress admin, go to BuddyBoss > Integration > Zoom.
   
2. Scroll to the Zoom Gutenberg blocks or the Zoom settings panel.
   
3. If Zoom JWT is deprecated, you’ll see a notice alerting you that new JWT apps can’t be created after June 1, 2023.

Note: Existing JWT connections will continue working through September 1, 2023. Our team is working on OAuth integration and will provide updated instructions once available

Troubleshooting and FAQs

Q: I’ve not set up JWT yet—can I still connect?
A: No. After June 1, 2023, new JWT apps can’t be created. You’ll need to wait for OAuth support.

Q: My existing JWT setup stopped working—what now?
A: Contact Zoom to confirm your JWT app’s status, then watch for our OAuth integration release to restore new connections.
