Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Access the Media Settings

  1. Go to the WordPress Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to the BuddyBoss Settings and click on the Media link

Step 2: Activate the Emoji Options

  1. For Profiles, click the checkbox “Allow members to use emoji in profile activity posts”
  2. For Groups, click the checkbox “Allow members to use emoji in groups, activity posts, messages and forums”
  3. For Messages, click the checkbox “Allow members to use emoji in private messages”
  4. For Forums, click the checkbox “Allow members to use emoji in forum discussions and replies”

Step 3: Save Your Changes

  1. Click the Save Changes button to apply the new settings.

Step 4: Test the Feature

  1. Create a test post, message, or forum thread and add a few emojis to ensure they display correctly across the platform.

Q: I do not see the Emoji settings in the Settings panel.
A: Verify that you are using the latest version of the BuddyBoss Platform and that your account has the required administrative permissions. Check for any pending platform updates if the section is missing.
