Members can edit their activity posts on the BuddyBoss Platform, updating text, photos, documents, and privacy settings as needed. The Edit Activity feature allows you to set a customizable time limit for when posts remain editable, ensuring that content stays accurate and up-to-date.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Enable the Edit Activity Feature
- Open your WordPress Dashboard and navigate to BuddyBoss > Settings > Activity.
- In the Activity Settings, mark the checkbox for Edit Activity.
- Click Save Settings.
Step 2: Configure the Edit Duration
- In the same settings panel, select the duration during which users can modify their published posts.
- Choose one of the following options:
- Forever
- 30 Days
- 7 Days
- 1 Day
- 1 Hour
- 10 Minutes
- The selected duration determines when the Edit button will be available on activity feed posts.
Step 3: Edit an Activity Feed Post
- On the Activity Feed, locate the post you wish to edit and click … (More Options) > Edit button to open the Edit Activity popup.
- Make the desired changes to the text content, photos, documents, and privacy settings.
- Click the Update Post button to save your edits.

Q: What should I do if the Edit Activity option is not visible?
A: Ensure that you have enabled the Edit Activity checkbox in BuddyBoss > Settings > Activity and selected a valid edit duration.
Q: How do I know if my edits have been saved?
A: Once you click the Post Update button, the post will display an (edited) marker to indicate that changes have been made.
