Configuring Registration Settings
Enable User Registration
- Navigate to BuddyBoss > Settings in your Dashboard.
- Locate the Registration section.
- Check the Enable Registration box.
- Click Save Settings.
Once enabled, users clicking the Sign Up button will see the default BuddyBoss Registration Form.
Customize Registration Form Settings
- In the Registration section, under Registration Form, select BuddyBoss Registration.
- Enable additional settings as needed:
- Legal Agreement – Requires users to agree to terms before registering.
- Email Confirmation – Ensures users verify their email before accessing the site.
- Password Confirmation – Adds an extra field for users to confirm their password.
- Click Save Settings.
- Reload the registration form; you will see the updated fields for Email, Password, and Legal Agreement.
Redirect to a Custom Registration Page
If you prefer using an external registration page (e.g., a membership plugin), you can set up a custom registration URL:
- In the Registration section, select Custom URL.
- Enter the URL where users should be redirected to register.
- Click Save Settings.
For example, if you are using MemberPress:
- Navigate to MemberPress.
- Choose a membership level (e.g., Silver Membership).
- Click View to open the registration form.
- Copy the URL and paste it into the Custom URL field in BuddyBoss.
- Click Save Settings.
Now, when users click Sign Up, they will be redirected to the custom registration page. This feature is highly beneficial for community and membership websites that require users to register through an external service.
