How to Protect a Discussion with a Password

Apart from using the Private Network functionality, a logged-in member can also be restricted from accessing a specific discussion by requiring them to enter a password before they can view the content of that discussion.

You will have to set the password for each of the discussions that you wanted to protect. Follow the steps below to do this:

    1. Navigate to the BuddyBoss dashboard – Forums – Discussions.

    2.  Click “Edit” for the discussion that you wanted to protect with a password.

    3. After that, you will be routed to the edit discussion page.

    4. Under the right sidebar, click Edit for the current Visibility option.

    5. Change it to Password protected and enter your desired password and click OK

    6. Don’t forget to click “Update to save the changes.

With this configuration, when a user tries to access the discussion, it will ask for a password before they can access the content.
