Introduction
The BuddyBoss Platform provides the option to enable or disable content counts on directory and profile pages, including Members, Groups, and Media. Rather than loading automatically when accessing profile or group pages. Content counts will only be shown when a user or group tab is selected. Adjusting this setting helps optimize site performance by reducing unnecessary database queries while allowing you to control how content counts are displayed. This guide will walk you through the steps tto Configure Directory Counts in BuddyBoss.
Configure Directory Counts
Access General Settings
- Navigate to Dashboard > BuddyBoss > Settings.
- Click on the General tab.
Locate the Content Count Setting
- Scroll down under Toolbar setting to find the Content Counts setting
- This setting includes a checkbox to enable or disable content counts.
Configure Content Count Settings
- To enable content counts: Check the box.
- To disable content counts: Uncheck the box.
- Default behavior:
- New installations: Disabled by default.
- Existing installations: Enabled by default.
Click the Save Changes button to apply your preferences.
