To resolve this issue, there are two possible scenarios:
Scenario 1: If you have an active or open Production track (where a release build is uploaded), it’s possible that your release draft is “Untitled”. This must be updated to include a “Release Name”.
To do this:
- Go to your Google Play Console.
- Navigate to:
Production > Edit Release > Release Details > Release Name. - Enter a Release Name.

- Save the changes.
- Return to your WP dashboard and try submitting the publish request again.
Scenario 2: If the Production track is closed and unavailable, (see example screenshots below)

This means that you still need to fulfill the “testing requirements” Google has set to gain access to the production track. This track is where developers submit apps for Google’s review and approval for publishing on the Play Store.
Note: Google recently implemented this requirement for new Personal developer accounts. However, you can bypass it by using an Organization account. As a business, you can proceed with publishing without needing testers. This additional requirement is not included in our publishing service. |
The above error in your WordPress backend occurs because it cannot detect any release details, such as the release name, preventing the submission of an Android publishing request for the Publishing Service.
