How to Moderate Members in BuddyBoss

Introduction
The Member Moderation feature in BuddyBoss allows you to create a safer and more respectful community by enabling members to block or report other users. Configuring Member Moderation

Step 1: Enable the Moderation Component:

  1. Go to your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Navigate to BuddyBoss > Components.
  3. Enable the Moderation component.

Step 2: Access Moderation Settings:

  1. Go to BuddyBoss > Settings > Moderation.

Step 3: Allow Member Blocking and Reporting:

  1. Enable Allow members to block other members. This allows users to block members who are bothering them.
  2. Enable Allow members to report other members. This lets users report inappropriate behavior or content.

Step 4: Configure Auto Suspend:

  1. Enable Auto Suspend to automatically suspend members when they reach a certain number of blocks or reports.
  2. Set the threshold for the number of blocks or reports required to trigger a suspension.

Managing Reporting Categories

Step 1: Access Reporting Categories:

  1. Go to BuddyBoss > Moderation > Reporting Categories.

Step 2: Use Default Categories or Create New Ones:

  1. You can use the default categories provided by BuddyBoss or create custom categories to better suit your community needs.

Step 3: Add a New Reporting Category:

  1. Enter a Name for the category (e.g., Spam, Harassment, Inappropriate Content).
  2. Enter a Description to clarify the type of behavior the category covers.
  3. Choose the Show When Reporting option:
    • Content: The category will appear when reporting posts or comments.
    • Members: The category will appear when reporting user profiles.
    • Content & Members: The category will be available for both.
  4. Click Add New Category to save the new reporting category.
